GREG THE BUNNY

Greg The Bunny

Greg the Bunny (20s) is a button-eyed rabbit from small-town America who was raised with big dreams. He's cute and enthusiastic on the surface, but can throw a terrible tantrum if he doesn't get what he wants. All Greg wants is to be a star, like the heroes he looked up to as a young puppet. But since coming to Hollywood he's found that making his dream come true is not as easy as it seemed in "The Muppet Movie." Here, he's got to find ways to pay for rent and groceries, and continue to chase his dreams. His roommate and constant friend/foil is Warren the Ape, a brilliant but tragic old bastard who is always trying to take advantage of Greg's good nature. Together they are the ultimate odd couple - they fight constantly, but deep down are each other's best friends.

Greg the Bunny started as a character on New York City’s public access show, JUNKTAPE. Created by Kevin’s brother Spencer Chinoy and his two friends, Dan Milano and Sean Baker. Kevin helped to steer the trio to THE INDEPENDENT FILM CHANNEL (IFC) to do short films for their network with their puppet characters, with Kevin producing. After about two years of doing short movies and other content for IFC, the group were given the chance to do a sitcom for the FOX NETWORK, which aired for one season in 2002.

Since then, the group have returned to THE INDEPENDENT FILM CHANNEL (IFC) to do a half-hour special (called “Fur on the Asphalt: A Greg The Bunny Reunion Special”) and two seasons worth of “Greg the Bunny Parodies,” which recently aired in 2005-6 and are being rerun in the new year. Season one consisted of six, brand-new shows and six of our old shows (pre-Fox) which were re-edited to air as part of the new series. Season two contained six all-new shows. We also made a short series of webisodes for IFC, which were shown as part of season two. A Greg the Bunny screenplay is currently in development.
